Garden Tour & Overnight Stay Package
June – September 2026
Join us for a tour of our garden before staying over in one of our rooms, with dinner from our tasting menu and breakfast the following morning.
We’re excited to open up our garden for guests to enjoy a guided tour, learning about the sustainable, regenerative growing techniques and preservation methods we’ve adopted and developed over the years here in Oldstead.
The Ultimate Two-Night Stay Experience
Every Monday & Tuesday
This package is perfect for those wanting to sample all Oldstead and Byland have to offer, including a Monday & Tuesday two-night stay in one of our nine luxury bedrooms, the Michelin-starred tasting menu at the award-winning Black Swan Oldstead on one night, and a meal of proper pub classics with a twist at our sister pub, The Abbey Inn, Byland, on the other.
Summer Foraging & Preservation Overnight Stay Experiences
April – September 2026
Our Foraging & Preservation Overnight Stay Experiences are available on select Mondays & Tuesdays through April, May, June, July and September 2026. This two-night stay package allows you to get behind the scenes, through one-on-one time with the Foraging & Preservation Team, learning how we use our grown and foraged ingredients in the peak of a season, as well as all year around, across the seasons too.
The Oldstead Weekend Escape
September 2026 – March 2027
Enjoy a weekend at The Black Swan with Champagne on arrival, a Michelin-starred tasting menu, countryside exploring, and an award-winning Sunday Lunch at The Abbey Inn at Byland. With breakfast included, it’s the perfect rural escape to relax and savour Oldstead.
Summer Saturday Lunch & Garden Tour

Join us this Summer for a guided Garden Tour followed by a Saturday lunch reservation at 12pm or 12.30pm. Explore our kitchen garden, discover our sustainable growing and preservation methods, then enjoy our Lunchtime Tasting Menu.
Saturday Lunch Soft Drinks Workshop & Tasting Menu Experience
From October 2026
Join us every Saturday from October for an exclusive soft drinks workshop, exploring how we create our inventive drinks and the art of pairing them with food. Following the workshop, enjoy our lunchtime tasting menu accompanied by a specially curated soft drinks pairing, showcasing the creativity and craft behind each glass. Wine pairing upgrades are also available for those who wish to enhance the experience further.
Autumn Preservation Workshop & Overnight Stay Experience
1st October & 12th November 2026
Join our Foraging and Preservation Team for an intimate afternoon exploring the art of fermentation, pickling and traditional preservation during Oldstead’s Preserving Season. Enjoy a Michelin-starred tasting menu, overnight stay and breakfast, with an Oldstead Preservation Pack and Tommy Banks’ Roots cookbook to take home.

As part of our 20th Anniversary celebrations, join us for an exclusive dining experience with Tommy Banks, Will Lockwood and Callum Leslie, with a menu of iconic Oldstead dishes, followed by an overnight stay and breakfast.

The Oldstead Wine Series & Overnight Stay Experience
Selected Dates In October & November 2026
This autumn step into the world of wine with The Oldstead Wine Series. Across four intimate masterclasses, explore exceptional wines through a range of unique themes, from pairing wine with the flavours of Oldstead to the wines and terroirs of South Africa. Each experience includes a guided tasting of six wines, an overnight stay, a Michelin-starred tasting menu and breakfast the following morning.

Dine at The Black Swan Oldstead
The Black Swan is a 1 Michelin-star, a Michelin Green Star and 4 AA Rosette restaurant with rooms by chef Tommy Banks.
Experience a tasting menu that is inspired by the ingredients that we grow and forage ourselves in and around Oldstead. The tasting menu is priced at £195 per person for dinner and £135 per person for Saturday lunch.
Stay at The Black Swan Oldstead
We offer 1 night stays Tuesday - Saturday which include the tasting menu, overnight stay and breakfast in one of our nine beautiful rooms. When The Black Swan rooms are full we offer our packages at our sister site, The Abbey Inn at Byland (located 1 mile away). Please note The Abbey Inn is closed on a Tuesday and Wednesday; check in would be at The Black Swan on both these days.
We also offer 2 night packages arriving on a Saturday or Monday only. Guests will enjoy our tasting menu on Saturday/Tuesday and can experience our sister restaurant, The Abbey Inn, on the Sunday/Monday.
