Yorkshire Gliding Club (2 miles)
Situated on top of Sutton Bank to the side of Roulston Scar and The Kilburn White Horse. The airfield benefits from superb ridge lift, thermals, and cracking wave from the Pennines.
Flying takes place 7 days a week, 364 days a year (weather permitting), in what can only be described as one of the most perfect settings for gliding. Few airspace restrictions mean pilots can fly for miles around without hindrance. Many different courses and trial lessons are available.
